Colleen MacDonald – Ultra-Endurance Athlete Website

Website Design & Launch

The Challenge

Colleen MacDonald is not your average athlete. As an ultra-endurance adventurer preparing to attempt a Fastest Known Time (FKT) on Mount Kilimanjaro, she needed a website that could do more than list achievements. She wanted a space to tell her story, inspire others, and drive support for her outdoor equity fundraiser. Most importantly, the site needed to grow with her—featuring updates from her journey, media coverage, and future athletic goals.

The Solution

Colleen’s biggest priority was building a community that believes in her mission: making the outdoors more accessible for everyone. Her website needed to clearly explain that mission and encourage people to take action—specifically, to donate to her fundraising campaign. To keep things simple and focused, we designed a one-page website that flows like a story—introducing Colleen, highlighting her accomplishments, and making it easy for visitors to support her cause. We used bold photos and videos and built in space for blog posts and adventure updates.

The design reflects who Colleen is: strong, adventurous, and deeply connected to the mountains. A warm, retro-inspired color scheme adds personality, while subtle map-like graphics hint at her love of exploration.

“Working with Align Marketing Group was a game-changer for me. They built a platform that tells my story with clarity, sparks action, and connects me to people who believe in the mission. This site shares the journey and helps turn movement into impact.”

The Results

Colleen’s new website captures her voice and mission. It’s easy to navigate, visually striking, and built to grow with her journey. Most importantly, it gives her a platform to connect with others, share her purpose, and invite people to support a cause she believes in.
